The President had a lot of inquiries, expressed enthusiasm but not the minimum number of registrations.

2. The registration of $88 is for your 1st torque wrench ($83 + $5 share of site visit fee).  Each subsequent torque wrench is $83.

The Club is working with Torque Calibration Services, a company that specialises in the inspection, service, calibration and provides an individual service report on your torque wrench(es) for members and friends of the Club.

If you are a DIY mechanic then this critical tool is required to ensure that nuts and bolts are correctly tightened.  Many of us will have experienced the feel technique of 'just a bit more' only to find the bolt or threaded hole stripped.

Torque Calibration Services will be in Canberra Friday 25 November 2023, provided we have sufficient registered interest and paid bookings.

YOUR first torque wrench (event registration) is $80 and includes a $5 co-contribution to the site visit fee of $150.  The BMWMCC will cover the site visit shortfall if there are insufficient primary registrations.

Interested?  Use the registration form to book your torque wrench(es) in and pay $80 for your first torque wrench and $75 for each subsequent torque wrench.  If YOUR calibration costs less then the difference will be refunded to you, excluding the $5 site charge.  Each torque wrench is provided a written service report. 

YOU MUST pay in advance and drop your LABELLED torque wrench off to President's house no later than Thursday 24 November 2023.  No payment or no torque wrench = no calibration.

DO NOT pay the invoice until you get a second email confirming the service day is on.  If there are sufficient registrations, then each participant will be emailed and requested to pay ASAP.  Any difference between the registration fee of $80 and invoice cost will be reimbursed by BMWMCC.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:  Torque wrenches can fail calibration, may not have any serviceable parts or (unlikely) not have sufficient adjustment.  YOU will still be charged and your torque wrench will be returned to you with the service report.
