First Aid for Motorcyclists™ (FAFM™) is running their First Aid for Motorcyclists Crash Management Training at West Wyalong, NSW, on Sunday 25th May (09:00 start to 15:00 approx. finish):

https://www.fafm.org.au/

https://www.fafm.org.au/packages

https://reg.eventgate.com.au/Event/29366/MCMT-West-Wyalong-NSW

It’s a hands-on, interactive training course, developed specifically for motorcyclists who want to acquire, or refresh, first aid skills in a supportive, group setting. It teaches the vital skills necessary to render immediate roadside first aid at a motorcycle crash scene, as well as how to effectively manage an accident scene until emergency services arrive. Trainers are motorcyclists who are also qualified, experienced first aid instructors.

The course, which is  non-accredited (i.e. no formal certification issued to attendees), costs $20 per attendee and is subsidised by NSW Government/Local Council Road Safety Programs. The course venue in West Wyalong will be provided to course registrants by FAFM™ closer to the course date.

Outbound: It’s approx. 270 km to West Wyalong ex. Ampol Foodary Nicholls (Gold Creek) via Quandialla, or via Temora, or via Hume Hwy to Jugiong, then onto Cootamundra and Temora (there are others, including gravel/dirt roads!): Google Maps

Sunset is 17:00 at the end of May, so the return ride is planned for the Monday morning for those not keen on riding the last hour or so in the dark.

Return: To decide route on the day.

Approximately 540 km return (ex. Ampol Foodary, Nicholls) on sealed main, secondary or back roads (expect some damaged surfaces).

GS Riders: For those keen on a gravel/dirt route/detour, you’re more than welcome to join us en route, or at West Wyalong.

Accommodation – book your own accommodation directly, depending on your preference for camping, pub or motel.

Fuel: Available in Boorowa, Young, Wallendbeen, Temora and West Wyalong.

Meeting Point: Meet fuelled and ready to go at the Ampol/Caltex Foodary, Gold Creek (Nicholls) for a 10:00 departure.

Register if you're interested in joining the ride and to receive further information. Any questions, then email rides@bmwmcc.au

Cheers

Karen
